What do DNA and RNA molecules, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and the side chains of other importance organic molecules have in common??? In solution, these molecules rapidly fluctuate between one structure to another similar one, then back. The relationship between tautomeric states, however, need not be 1 to 1. Organic molecules contain a great diversity of reactive side groups, so any given molecule may interconvert between several structurally related species in solution. What implications could this have for what we macroscopically observe as living bodies that exist as one singular unit???
The Law of Conservation of Energy states that energy is neither created or destroyed; it merely changes forms. Biology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry textbooks teach from the vantage point molecular tautomer interactions occur within isolated biochemical pathways that are indirectly related; however, if living things are composed of molecular tautomers, whose to say that living bodies as a whole doe not exist in a tautomerized state??? In the same manner that the molecular orbits of organic molecules hybridize, whose to say that the experience of being alive and conscious is not some average of tautomeric states???
The human mind has the ability to take two closely related frequencies of sound ( difference < 7 Hz ) and convert them to binaural beats. If binaural beats are a hybridization of two electromagnetic signals within the brain, and the brain that enables such a transformation is itself made of tautomers that exist within multiple forms, how can it be argued that the macroscopic body isn’t maintained in a tautomeric state by a beating heart???
When a human heart is transplanted into a recipient, the recipient oftentimes ” inherits ” the memories and tastes of the donor. If the human heart does indeed establish and maintain a tautomeric state, how do we account for the existence of living things that have no beating heart??? If the heart, however, does maintain a tautomeric state in some living things, this state would collapse when the heart stops beating; however, what existed beforehand would now exist in a state that cannot be directly observed by living things. This is in perfect agreement with the Law of Conservation of Energy, and if true, it would explain the inheritance and slow adaptation of two people living within one after heart surgery. From the vantage point of the body being one unit, this phenomena is puzzling; however, from the vantage point of living things as being hybridized and/or tautomerized unit, this observation makes perfect sense.
Finally, are heartbeats themselves binaural in nature??? If so, are these beats the consequence of slight frequency differences between signals generated by the heart’s sinoatrial ( SA ) and atrioventricular ( AV ) nodes in sync with Purkinji fibers??? Only time will tell.
